What is live screen printing? Soul & Ink provides a fun, interactive art experience for events from private parties to public festivals. We activate any event with up to four 4-color presses, ink, apparel and one of a kind imagery.

Why live screen printing? Live screen printing takes your event to the next level, with an undeniable cool factor and memorable moment that will have the crowd buzzing for days. How much does it cost to have live screen printing at my event? We created packages to fit every budget! We base them off of the number of screens, the quantity of prints, the amount of time we have to print, and the cost of printing material. Custom design is included with all packages. When should I get my project started? The sooner the better! We’re all about planning ahead, but we recommend contacting us at least 1-2 months before your event. Longer if there is travel required or if the designs will be in depth and will need several rounds of approval. If you find yourself tight on time, all good. Reach out to us ASAP and we’ll be happy to come up with a plan to make it happen.

How do I place an order? Request a quote here on our Quote Page to begin the process with us! Once we get the basic information, we can figure out how to best meet your needs and move forward with your order.

How long does the design and production process usually take? Typically the design process can take 2-4 weeks, and depending on your chosen print specifications and quantities it can be 2-3 weeks for production. If you’re in a rush, we’re happy to chat about expedited options.

How long does it take to live screen print each item? It only takes about 1 minute per item! It takes approximately 30 seconds to print and another 30 seconds to cure the ink, so that the item is fully dry and ready to wear. Often times the longest part of the process is the guest choosing which design they like best!

How much space do you need and how long does it take to set up? For our standard packages we need a minimum of 10x10’ foot space and it takes us about 1-2 hours to load in and set up, and about 1 hour to break down.

What do you need to be provided for set up? For our standard packages we usually need one standard 15 volt electrical outlet within 4 feet of the printing area, not shared with other appliances to avoid shorting the circuit; 2-3 standard banquet tables with black table cloths, adequate lighting, a trash can, and a tent if outdoors.

Can the client provide art? Yes! Although custom design is included in packages, we can use client art as well. This is especially helpful if the order is a rush (within 2 weeks of the event) and ideal for branding consistency. We can also do a mix of both custom designs and client art with no problem at all.

What are the art file specifications for clients providing their own designs?
• Email art files to: info@soulandinkcrew.com
• Print ready vector or bitmap files in solid BLACK as file types: AI, PSD, EPS, or PDF
• All fonts must be converted outlines and images embedded
• Art should be sized to fit within 10.5x13" for t-shirts, 10.5x16.5” for posters - no bleed, or 12x13” for totes.
• We recommend lines in art + fonts to be 2 pts or thicker for best live printing results.
• Separations or separate layers must be provided per color
• Full color mock ups are helpful, but not necessary.
• Proofs will be provided to client for approval in order for production to begin.

Can you print with custom Pantone colors to match my brand or event colors?
Yes, no problem. We have in-house stock colors that we use at no additional cost, but if you need specific custom made colors they cost a bit more and we would need to allow for more time to have them made and delivered in time for printing.

Is it possible to order garment samples? Absolutely! We can order blank garment samples and have them shipped to you for a $50 minimum, depending on the cost of the item. Should you decide to place your order with Soul & Ink, the amount you pay in samples will serve as a credit towards your final order.

Do you do host workshops? Yes we do and their fun! Workshops are great for group activities. We can host 20-30 people with up to 6 designs to layer and choose from. Check out our blog to view our past workshops from our popular Drink & Ink series.

Do you fulfill traditional custom screen printing orders that are non-event based?Of course! We run a print shop and provide quality custom screen printing. Each item is hand printed with love. We can supply the garments and can print anything that lays flat and absorb the ink. Cotton based garments or paper works best. In studio printing usually takes about 2 weeks. Do you offer traditional graphic design services? Yep. Design is our jam! Our award winning team has over 40 years of combined design experience. You name it, we’ve most likely done it. I like what I see! What’s the next step in the process to start a project? First things first, we want to hear from you! Fill out our contact form with all the basics and we’ll get back to you with pricing options for custom orders. If you choose Soul & Ink (and we hope you do!), we’ll get started by putting together an agreement which will include a timeline and will require your signature and a 50% deposit for live screen printing at events. All graphic design or printing in studio work requires a full payment up front to begin the project. Once you approve the final design, we go into production, which can take 2-3 weeks depending on print specifications.
